Class of 2013 all the way. No offense to the other classes.

It’s so hard to open up to people. Like you try to open your mouth, but the words you want to express just won’t come out. You tend to be the one holding yourself back because you want to wait for the perfect moment. Then when the opportunity passes you by, you think to yourself that it was the perfect moment and now it’s just too late to say anything. It’s not because of the fear that comes along with it, its everything in general. You don’t want to lose the respect you have tried so hard to earn. They will probably never look at you the same way again or even bother looking at you at all. Then next thing you know, they can’t even look at you in the eye anymore. And if you come real, they won’t take you seriously because they’ll probably think that you’re just kidding. You start to ask yourself, “Why am I telling you this?” since they probably don’t even care about what you have to say in the first place. You don’t want to have to repeat yourself over again since saying it once was hard enough. They will be speechless and neither of you will know what to say during those awkward seconds of silence. So you know what you end up doing? The usual. Act like everything is perfectly fine and keep everything to yourself, again.

Things that hurt

  • being unsure of how someone feels about you
  • feeling like they are mad at you
  • being misunderstood by people you care about
  • being judged by people you care about
  • feeling like you lost something that was never yours
  • feeling like you’re doing too much
  • thinking you aren’t doing enough
  • not knowing if you should say something
  • worried about what they’ll think if you do say it
  • feeling like you care more than they do
